Chamber View: Great Region, Great Chamber

By Metro Chamber|February 4, 2017|News Coverage|

Great regions are built by great chambers. And great chambers attribute their success to dedicated, visionary and engaged members of their Board of Directors, volunteers participating in various committees and hard-working members. For over 120 years, the Sacramento Metro Chamber has been at the forefront of our regional growth and served as a convener for the community to come together to craft strategies on how our region can thrive.

As we start another new year, we know we can build upon our legacy so that our region’s future shines brightly. I returned motivated following the Chamber’s 2016 Study Mission to Minneapolis/St. Paul where we saw first-hand that a prosperous region is built upon a foundation of collaboration, cooperation, and collective vision. We are committed to building that foundation for our great Capital Region and those themes will serve as our 2017 priorities.

This year, we will collaborate on important issues with our partner organizations stretching across the Capital Region. We will work with our elected officials at the local, state, and federal levels to pursue a collective regional vision on policy initiatives. And we will begin a new era of regional cooperation where we work together to grow our opportunity economy. As we bring these actions to life, we will demonstrate that the Sacramento Metro Chamber is a chamber for all.

In that spirit, I encourage you to join us. If you are already a member, get involved in a committee, serve as an Ambassador, register for one of our many advocacy programs, or join a planning committee for one of our events. If you aren’t a member, give us a call. We want to help you grow your business and strengthen not just your personal welfare but that of your employees. Together, we will bring countless opportunities to life and develop a healthy economy that works for our entire Capital Region.

Our commitment to the business community is to advocate and support an opportunity economy where all businesses and professionals can grow. We look forward to achieving those goals with you and our members this year.
