On Aug. 12, the Sacramento Metro Chamber hosted the State of Agriculture, an event that explored ag’s economic impact and role in the community.
The event at the Hyatt Regency featured keynote speaker Jim Wiesemeyer, senior vice president of Informa Economics, a nationally recognized expert on agriculture and policy.
Rob Stewart of KVIE led a panel discussion focusing on agriculture’s economic impact on our regional economy. Panelists included West Sacramento MayorChristopher Cabaldon; Helene Dillard, dean of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at University of California Davis; Donald Bransford of Bransford Farms, Michael Passmore of Passmore Ranch and Chris Turkovich of Turkovich Family Wines.
