Chamber View: A Time to Give Thanks

By Metro Chamber|November 1, 2017|Metro Chamber, News Coverage|

A great chamber is the foundation of a great region. But a chamber of commerce can’t thrive without the strength of its members. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we would like to take an opportunity to express our gratitude to our members. We are proud of the programs and services we provide, and all of it is made possible through your engagement and support.

Thank you to the volunteers who participate in our various committees, and thank you to those of you who attended our advocacy programs – Cap-to-Cap and State Legislative Summit – it is because of you that the Sacramento Metro Chamber is able to advocate for a strong business climate in our region. Our Study Mission to Austin had the highest number of attendees, ever, and we’ve had amazing turnout at our monthly power lunches this year, as well as our Metro Mixers and Referral Round Tables. We thank you for helping us make these events successful. The networking and new business opportunities they provide are invaluable to many of our members.

If you have been looking for a way to get engaged, we always welcome new members to our committees and still have a few events planned this year, including the 2017 State of Sacramento County, a Referral Round Table, two Power Lunches, and our Holiday Mixer.

Each year, we ask our members to give thanks to those in our community who are leading the charge in shaping our region by nominating them for our Annual Dinner. Categories range from Volunteer of the Year and Small Business of the Year to Sacramentan of the Year, Businessman and Businesswoman of the Year and more. We will honor this year’s winners at our 123rd Annual Dinner & Business Awards on Friday, January 26th. Registration for Annual Dinner will open this month, so mark your calendar, and don’t delay in getting your ticket!

As the only chamber representing the six-county Capital Region, your continued membership is essential to accomplishing our mission to advocate for, and support your economic success and lead the effort to grow and retain business. We look forward to seeing and working with you soon.
